Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three drug peddlers along with 2.65 lakh Yaba tablets in separate raids in Bakalia and Anwara upazilas of Chattogram on Tuesday morning.

The deceased are identified as Md Jamir Uddin, 36, son of Rashid Ahmmed, hailing from Khuniapang area in Ramu upazila of Cox’s Bazar, Md Ramdan Ali, 25, son of Nurul Haque, from Degardighi Boddarpar area of the upazila and Md Kamruzzaman, 30, son of Nurul Haque, from Raipur Chunnapara area in Anwara upazila of Chattogram.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of law enforcers conducted the drive and arrested them with the large consignment of Yabas in the area worth Tk 13.26 crore.

RAB-7’s media officer ASP Mahmudul Hasan Mamun confirmed the matter to media.
